The Nanny Goat showing area is underlain by a sequence of marine sedimentary and volcanic rocks of the Upper Stuhini Group. The stratigraphy has been intruded by Early Jurassic granodiorite to syenite.

Gold bearing plutonic rocks are contained within a 300 to 400 metre wide east-west trending gossanous band which can be traced for 800 to 900 metres, and is obscured at both ends by talus cover. Gold is associated with chalcopyrite (often altered to malachite-azurite) which occurs alone or accompanied by pyrite, magnetite, hematite and limonite. The copper-gold mineralization occurs in the following structures:

1. Quartz and/or calcite shear and fissure veins 1 to 100 centimetres wide where chalcopyrite constitutes up to 10 per cent by volume occurring as very irregular grains, small blebs and sporadically as 1 to 2 millimetre wide veinlets. Attitudes of these veins are variable.

2. Densely fractured zones up to several meters in diameter where chalcopyrite occurs as disseminated irregular small grains and blebs. Mineralization of this type, although comparatively large in volume, tends to be lower grade than that associated with quartz-calcite veins.

3. Relatively weakly altered plutonic rocks showing no spatial relationship to veins or fractures with chalcopyrite occurring as very small disseminated grains.

In 1990, a total of 49 rock samples were collected from the Nanny Goat zone of the property of which 23 yielded gold values over 100 parts per billion. Ten grab samples assayed over 1 gram per tonne gold with the highest being 45.94 grams per tonne gold (Assessment Report 21177).

Gold in this area is closely associated with copper, which commonly assayed in up to 3.52 per cent copper. Substantial numbers of the samples also show elevated silver, up to 92.57 grams per tonne, zinc to 3.68 per cent, and lead to hundreds of parts per million (Assessement Report 21177).

In 1990, Santa Marina Gold Ltd conducted a program on the Arc 18-21 claims that consisted of geological mapping and prospecting in conjunction with geochemical rock sampling (149), limited soil sampling (44) and silt (33) and heavy mineral concentrate (9) sediment sampling. No previous work on the property is documented.

In 2006 and 2007, Hathor Exploration Ltd. completed a 7228.7 line-kilometre airborne geophysical survey on the area as the Snip claims of the Iskut project. In 2008, Max Minerals Ltd. examined the property.
